AviaDev is pleased to unveil its agenda for 2019, bringing together leading industry speakers alongside unique networking opportunities.

AviaDev attracts representatives from across Africa and the wider world. Airlines attending include: Africana, Air Botswana, Air Zimbabwe, Air Namibia, Africa World Airlines, ASky,  Comair Limited, Emerald Airlines, Ethiopian, flyfofa, FlySafair, Hahn Air, Jet Afrique, jetWest, Kenya Airways, LAM, Malawi Airlines, Proflight Zambia, RwandAir, SAGA, South African Airways, SA Express and TAAG.

The event will facilitate pre-arranged one-to-one meetings between commercial representatives of the above airlines with those involved in developing connectivity to, from and within Africa

Day One features an unmissable session with Girma Wake, Former CEO, Ethiopian Airlines and Former Chairman, RwandAir in conversation with: Tefera Mekonnen, Secretary General, African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), Gaoussou Konate, Consulting Director, Technical and ?Operations, AFRAA (African Airlines Association), Raphael Kuuchi, Special Envoy on Aero-political Affairs, IATA, Chris Zweigenthal, Chief Executive, Airlines Association of Southern Africa about the practicalities of open skies discussing if we are any closer to a single African sky, if consolidation and co-operation is the way forward and what more the industry can do to move the needle.

Day Two starts with a look at how airports/destinations position themselves to develop new air services.  The panel discussion is moderated by Agness Chaila, Aviation Development Director, AviaDev speaking with Carlos von Hafe, Director, International Relations and Commercial Agreements, TAAG, Richard Kyereh, Head of Commercial, Africa World Airlines, Xavier Masule, General Manager, Commercial Services, Air Namibia (Pty) Limited, Nowel Ngala, Commercial Director, ASKY airline.  The day also focuses on finance and investment, discussing aircraft leasing, financing airport infrastructure and how to secure funding for these projects.
