Did you know that the technology of air flow in an aircraft makes the cabin safer than almost all other indoor spaces? Air in the cabin is filtered and constantly refreshed, ensuring that you can always “Fly Safe, Fly Confident!” onboard any Africa World Airlines (AWA) flight.

In line with the directives of The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, AWA’s domestic flights will return to full capacity (50 passengers) with effect from 01AUG20. The airlines enhanced sanitary protocols include mandatory mask usage and hand sanitisation, no-contact check-in and boarding, disinfection of the aircraft after each flight, and spraying of all checked-in baggage will remain in effect. Passengers will also never be stuck in a middle seat between two other passengers due to the layout of AWA’S modern Embraer ERJ-145 jets!

According to IATA’s Director General and CEOAlexandre de Juniac“Evidence suggests that the risk of transmission on-board aircraft is low. And we will take measures — such as the wearing of face coverings by passengers and masks by crew — to add extra layers of protection. We must arrive at a solution that gives passengers the confidence to fly and keeps the cost of flying affordable. One without the other will have no lasting benefit.”

Africa World Airlines is also increasing services between Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi effective 01AUG20. There will be multiple daily flights each to Kumasi or Tamale with departures now starting as early as 8am, as well as 4 weekly flights to Takoradi to choose from. Convenient connections via Accra are also available between all city pairs.

The WSF will pay €300m for its stake in Lufthansa, which will rise to 25% in the event of a missed interest payment or a takeover attempt on the carrier, with existing investors diluted. Additionally the German government will take a “silent […]
